Musician and Performer

Nicholas Feigenbaum is a versatile musician with experience and involvement in music across a wide range of genres. Nicholas has had the opportunity to record with Grammy Award winning Hip-hop, Jazz and Afro-Pop Musicians. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nicholas works closely with the Velveteen Ensemble, as the regular bassist for Audiomack's Trap Symphony. Nicholas has also performed with the Velveteen Ensemble at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Nicholas has also performed as a freelance orchestral double bassist in ensembles across New York State. He has performed in master classes for double bassists such as Rion Wentworth (NY Philharmonic, Louis Levitt (Syabrite 5), and Brad Aikman (Albany Symphony).

Nicholas received a Masters in Performance in Double Bass from Stony Brook University, where he studied with Blake Hinson, Asst. Principal Bassist of the NY Philharmonic. During his studies at Stony Brook University, Nicholas also had the opportunity to study with Bradley Aikman. 

Nicholas currently performs his solo repertoire on the Luciano Golia Bass "L'Arcigno" (2004/Turin, Italy), and his orchestral performances on the Upton "Feigenbaum" Bohemian (2018/Mystic, CT) . Nicholas performs on bows made by Zdzislaw Prochownik and Samuel Kolstein.
